    Please complete this form as part of your application to Atlantic School of Theology.

  • A Special Student is a student who meets degree or certificate admission requirements, is admitted to study at AST, but is not admitted to a degree or certificate program. Courses completed as a Special Student may be transferred to a degree or certificate program at AST at a later date (as applicable). A maximum of 7 courses may be taken as a Special Student.

    Special Student (graduate level of study)

    To be admitted as a Special Student (graduate level of study) you will need a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, with a minimum of ‘B’ average.

    Special Student (undergraduate level of study)

    To be admitted as a Special Student (undergraduate level of study), applicants must have completed a high school diploma (including English 12) or its equivalent, with a minimum B average (70% or better).

  • As part of this application form you will be required to submit the following:

    ·OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS - List all postsecondary institutions attended and request an official transcript for all your previous and current postsecondary education to be sent directly to AST.

    ·LETTER OF INTENT - Write 1 page (1 to 6 paragraphs) outlining your interests in studying at AST and the objectives you hope to achieve.

    AST administrative and academic personnel, including the Academic Dean, Operations Manager, and Formation Directors: student name, program, and email address;
    AST Advancement Office: student name, denomination, program, email address, and current mailing address;
    AST Student Union: student name, denomination, program, and email address;
    AST Library staff: information necessary to provide library services; and
    Saint Mary’s University (SMU): information necessary for the administration of student health and dental insurance.
