This conversation brings together Christian theologians’ and media theorists’ views on the benefits and perils of new technology. How do ‘mediated’ practices shape us and the experience of church? What happens to social and political conversations given the blend of corporate and civic in social media spaces? What counter-practices does the Christian tradition offer in our age of “techno-creep,” “surveillance capitalism,” “data religion,” and generative AI?
