    1. Please review, sign, and submit the Welcome Waiver Package as part of your residence application.

    We encourage you to visit our residence and discover whether it's the right home away from home for you. Schedule a tour with one of our Student Dons or the Residence Manager to experience our welcoming community and explore the residence firsthand.

    Nestled along a peaceful Halifax shoreline, our residence offers a unique setting for study, reflection, fellowship, and community life. As an ecumenical university residence, we welcome people of all faiths and no faith who value respect, hospitality, shared responsibility, and living in a supportive community where everyone is treated with dignity and care.

  • FLOOR ASSIGNMENT REQUEST – Select your preferred floor. Keep in mind that the gender neutral washroom and shower, and the laundry, are located in the above-ground basement. The residence building is accessible by staircase only, as the elevator is currently out of service.*

  • SEXUAL VIOLENCE AWARENESS PREVENTION (SVAP) PROGRAM

    AST, together with other universities in Nova Scotia, participates in a program to educate students about sexual violence awareness. Each new resident is required to attend the SVAP training shortly after arrival. Sessions are typically offered in September, January, June, and July. This is a mandatory session. The refresher session is to be completed every 12 months.  

        

  • Need a vehicle parking permit pass? Residence room rental fee and parking pass fee are non-refundable and are not prorated. Once charged to your bank account, these fees apply for the full term, and no credit or partial refunds will be issued for early move-out, non-use, or cancellation.

  • I understand that if my application is accepted, my monthly room rate and my agreement with AST will be in effect for the entire period noted on this form. I understand that should I decide to leave before the end of that period, I will be responsible for payment of the full rent period. I have read the Residence Policies and General Information (1) AST Residence Policy Document, (2) Resident Handbook, and (3) AST Sexual Violence Policy on the AST website and agree to abide by any standards and regulations specified there.
